When I was a kid I used to love to read. I read any book I got my hands on, at leats until I decided watching TV was much easier and more fun. Still, whilst I was a reader one of my favourite books was a huge picture book I had full of Aesops Fables. I read that book until it fell to pieces.
Today I am going to share a Jason's Fable. I hope you can all learn something from this.
When I was living with the crazy Greek man. Some of you will remember him from another entry I did but for those who dont. He was a crazy greek man who rented out rooms in his house, his family had been "stolen" from him by Jehovahs witnesses who he thought were just friendly people knocking on his door. It then became his mission to bring them down which he did by driving around any one of his three Kombi vans, all of which were painted with anti Jehovah slogans and had anti Jehovahs articles stuck to the windows.
Anyway, every day this crazy old man who we shall call John (it is his name) would buy a loaf of bread. He would eat a little bit of it with whatever horrible meal he had cooked up.
With the bread he had left he would sit on an old chair in the backyard and feed the pigeons. Pigeons used to congregate in the backyard and wait for him to come out. Apparently it started with one pigeon but in the end the bloody things were everywhere.
It was one of his joys in life, sitting there feeding them, they became really tame and often they would fly up and land on his hand or sit on his lap as he through the bread around.
Then he would hold one, take it inside and break its neck, pluck it, cook it and eat it. He would sort of laugh at how easy this was and every night he would eat his pigeon. I was often offered but never accepted any of it for myself. Disease ridden flying rats dont really tempt me.
So that is the story, the moral being
"It doesnt matter who gives you your bread, you should never rely on the man and make your own way"
or maybe it is
"Dont trust old spiteful greek men who hate the entire world"
I dont know. Still just goes to show how weird people really are.
Keep Smiling
Jason
