I havent updated for a few days. I havent been missing or anything. Peter Pan has been staying at our place so we just havent been home. For those unaware of just who Peter Pan is, he is my dad, the boy who never grew up.
He got in Monday and whilst only staying for three days it is going to take me a month to catch up on the sleep I missed. Every night out for dinenr somewhere different after already being out celebrating Heidis gran turning 87.
So Sunday night was down the coast for Steak and Pizza, Monday night was down to inner Richmond for so much greek food it made your stomach ache. Tuesday was burgers in St Kilda and last night was Vietnamese in Richmond again before a drive to the airport.
Being a chef there isnt much more my dad likes than eating out and stealing other restaurants ideas. Pretty sure we covered our bases there. He is also a compulsive payer. He has to pay for everything although Heidi and I are getting better at the art of negotiation. We almost broke even.
I am lucky with Dad and Heidi. They share a genuine affection for each other which makes life much easier when he is around. Sometimes I feel like the third wheel as they discuss photography or play pinball. Is fantastic.
Anyway. That is where I have been. Further proof of his Peter Pan syndrome when we noticed in his wallet a timezone card, not just any timezone card but one personalised with all his details. Sad but true.
Keep smiling
Jason
