Working in banking isnt exactly a thrill a minute but there are occasions you can have a little fun. There are also those moment that make you wish you bought a change of underwear with you to work.

I had one of those today. The thing about banks is they are pretty heavily alarmed (umm.. duh! right..) but each area usually has its on seperate alarm so you know where the problem is.

Today I got a call from security service letting me know that the ATM room was in alarm. No problem I thought. I know the security guards are in there putting lots of money into the bastard so it is ok. They wouldnt take my word for it and asked me to check.

Having a fair pile of stuff to do already I reluctantly agreed and went for a run down the front.

You have to key a code in to get into the room which I did in record time. I then jumped into the room and for some reason shouted that the place was in alarm. Both guards went straight for their guns and I shit myself (not literally but it was probably closer than I would like to admit).

I identified myself and let them know in a much higher pitch that I just needed them to key their codes in again and turn the alarms off which they did.

For future knowledge though I will remember to knock and speak softly.
