thank you... come again

I had a mix up with an Indian customer this morning. It isnt unusual. We have a lot of Indian custoemrs and most of them are great but this one was a little on the angry side. We didnt have something he wanted and he was furious.

I was trying to calm him down and evenually it was working. We were having a bit of a joke around and all was going well. I offerred to fix the situation up for him but let him know it would take an extra week for the whole thing to work out. This set him right off.

Again I calmed him down. I was a bit over it and when he was readty to leave I just asked once more did he want me to fix it and he advised he didnt want my service, he would fix it himself.

I said "Thats fine, knock yourself out but I am telling you that this is the easiest and quickest way to fix it up"

Well, he exploded. "YOU SIR ARE TELLING ME TO KNOCK MYSELF OUT, SHOULD I PUNCH MYSELF, DO YOU WANT ME TO RENDER MYSELF UNCONSCIOUS. YOU ARE A VERY RUDE MAN".

And he lodged a complaint. I got a call from someone at our complaints department laughing their heads off and now somewhere it head office on my file somewhere there is probably a note about the time I told a customer to beat himself silly.

Next time he comes in and gives me a hard time I am going to tell him to "go fuck yourself" and see what he makes of that....
