So Heidi flew out yesterday but not without what we like to refer to as a "Heidi Moment". We even have a song that goes with "Heidi Moments" but that is for another time.
Heidi's flight left at 10 in the morning. We had to get up about 6.30 to get ready and get to the airport on time. The alarm was set and everything was going fine. Fast asleep until in the middle of the night I got a hug and a kiss on the forehead. No complaints about that at of course. I reached beside my bed and read the clock, 2am. Crazy stuff so I went back to sleep.
Next think I know the shower is running and I can hear all sorts of commotion happening in the bathroom. I check my clock again. Definately 2am and pitch black to prove it.
Heidi walks into the bedroom and I mutter something about it being 2am and what on Earth is she doing. She corrects me and tells me it is 6am and she just couldnt sleep any more. Fair enough, I check my clock again. "Nup, is 2am". Heidi walks over and checks her clock "oh, I must have read the second hand". Goes and dries her hair and climbs back into bed.
People ask why I have the bags under my eyes that I do. Sure they are mostly genetic but Heidi does wear a certain amount of responsibility. Everything else went beautifully. Heidi is living the good life in India for three weeks and I am looking after myself at home.
Keep Smiling
Jason
