Do you know the big disadvantage of having divorced parents. They visit seperately so rather than getting it all out of the way in one visit you have twice the pain to endure. My dad was here earlier this month for a week and now we have mum here for a week. Still has been nice to catch up with them. They love Heidi more than they love me but everyone does so I shouldnt be surprised.

One of the weird things I have just realised about my mum is she remembers everyone I ever met as a kid. She will often call and say "remember Todd who you used to kick the football with when you were three". I without fail will reply that I dont, she will then remind me "it only happened once on a Thursday in the middle of winder in '78". I will make some sort of noise to pretend I understand to which she will then let me know she stopped him in the street to let him know what I am up to nowadays. I am sure he just put it down to some cazy woman.

Anyway, today mum said to me "remember Russell who you used to play football with at Churchlands". I looked blank enough that she had to prompt me "when you were 7 you played in the same team, we picked him up once for a car pool and went to his house, his mums name was Rita". I still sit there looking blankly, mum however isnt deterred. "Anyway I was reading in the paper that he got into ome trouble with the police and they shot him dead". That is some information that is sort of hard to process. I hung out with bad arses, even when I was a kid. I was hard damn it. Another friend lost to the facist pigs.

When I have kids I have decided because my memory is shite I am going to keep a list of every person my kid interacts with. Then I am doing to google them daily from the day the kid turns 18 so I too can confuse my kids. Still is great to catch up and spend some time at home with mum. Is sort of like being a kid again. I feel like I have to behave all the time or get in trouble so I am off to clean the kitchen before I get grounded.
