On the 30 of September at about 7.30 in the morning little Oliver was born. He was a healthy size of just over 9 pounds and came to the world in a blaze of glory.

All was travelling very nicely until suddenly Heidi dilated 4cm in 10 minutes meaning the baby dropped very suddenly and they lost his heartbeat. The emergency button was pushing and we went from having one midwife with us to having 8 people in the room. Midwives, nurses, an Obstetrician and Paediatrician. People everywhere.

After all sorts of worry, episiotomy, vacuums and oxygen, not to mention a truckload of gas our beautiful little boy was born. He has been wonderful, sleeps well and I think after causing so much worry and concern at the start of his life is trying to ease our blood pressure back to normal now.
